The Government of Thailand has decided to maintain the VAT rate at 7 percent for another year.
This regulation will be effective from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019.
For your information, VAT was introduced in Thailand in 1992 at a rate of 10 percent, but was later reduced to 7 percent and has not changed since then.
