The Thai government has decided to maintain the value-added tax (VAT) rate at 7% for another year.
This regulation will remain in effect until September 29, 2018.
For reference, VAT was introduced in Thailand in 1992 at a rate of 10%, but was later reduced to 7% at the request of the business community and has not changed since.
