The government has introduced reduced fee rates for registering real estate transactions at the Land Department:
- The property transfer registration fee has been reduced from 2% to 0.01% of the transaction value (based on either the cadastral value or the actual sale price, whichever is higher).
- The mortgage registration fee has been reduced from 1% to 0.01%.
The reduced property transfer fee applies only to:
- condominiums, apartments, and land plots
- with a value not exceeding 3 million THB
The new rules are already in effect and will remain valid until December 24, 2020.
