On June 19, 2014, the consulting agency InvestEast held a seminar titled “Real Estate Transactions: Preparation, Registration, Taxation.”
The event took place at the office of Global Top Group in Pattaya. More than 40 participants attended the seminar, including directors and top managers of real estate agencies, development companies, as well as construction and industrial firms.
The seminar was led by Alexandra Agapitova, Development Director of the consulting agency InvestEast.
The organizers aimed to structure essential information about real estate, identify potential pitfalls that may arise during property transactions, review the key legal regulations restricting foreign ownership rights, and explain how these rules are applied in practice.
Special attention was given to taxation issues, including the payment of taxes and fees at the time of registering purchase and sale agreements and lease contracts, as well as taxation during the subsequent use of real estate.

- Types of real estate: residential, commercial, industrial
- General rules for registering real estate transactions
- Buying a condominium unit: step-by-step guide
- Purchasing property through a company and protecting foreign ownership rights
- Taxation of real estate transactions
The next seminar will focus on business organization and operations in Thailand and is scheduled for July 2014.
